Schonstedt Featured in International Mine Awareness Day Events

Schonstedt senior management—along with Schonstedt instruments—will be well represented at events in New York and Washington surrounding this year’s International Mine Awareness Day (April 4, 2022). At the UN’s General Assembly building, a symposium on mine action titled “Safe Ground, Safe Steps, Safe Home”, hosted by the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), will highlight a day of interactive exhibits and presentations by leading figures and organizations in the mine action community.

On Tuesday, April 5, Schonstedt will be recognized by the HALO Trust, a world leader in landmine/explosives-clearing, for their “humanitarian leadership” at an event on Capitol Hill convened by the Congressional Demining and UXO Caucus. The Schonstedt Humanitarian Demining Initiative (SHDI), now in its 15th year, has deployed over 560 de-mining locators to over 34 underserved countries throughout the world.
